Star Party is a community-driven initiative that joins the regularly scheduled public stargazing events hosted by members of the Los Angeles Astronomical Society (LAAS). These gatherings are informal and take place in open, public spaces. Our role is to promote awareness and encourage community participation—sometimes inviting musicians, artists, and cosmic collaborators to help set the mood.

Star Party does not assume responsibility for the safety, conduct, or actions of any attendees, performers, or participants. By attending, you acknowledge that your participation is voluntary and at your own risk. These gatherings are not officially permitted or coordinated with local authorities, and all guests are expected to respect the space, one another, and local laws.

• Be kind, inclusive, and respectful to everyone—no matter who they are or where they come from.
• Treat the public space with care and leave no trace.
• Refrain from any form of harassment, discrimination, or disruptive behavior.
• Follow safety instructions shared by organizers, artists, or astronomy partners on-site.

We reserve the right to kindly ask anyone to leave who is creating an unsafe or unwelcoming environment.

Our events may be documented through photography, video, and other media for use in Star Party promotional materials, social content, or recap features.

By attending, you grant permission for your likeness to be captured and shared. If you'd prefer not to be photographed or filmed, please let the photographer or a team member know—we respect your boundaries.
